The purpose of the Youth Advocacy Program is to educate our youth to be good citizens and future leaders. It is a program that encourages our young people to know how their government works and to feel that they can have an impact.
During the Sacramento Youth Advocacy trip the high school students will have an opportunity to tour the Capitol in Sacramento, meet legislators, attend a legislative committee meeting, participate in a fun and interactive Monday night dinner, (connecting with other like-minded youth), as well as attending an all day program on Tuesday with special speakers and events put on by the CFRW Advocacy Chair. The Youth Advocacy Program is a great opportunity for the students to see our California government in action. Our students will come away from this trip armed with the knowledge that our leaders in Sacramento are accessible.
